Wind Turbines and Towers
Kestrel wind turbines are among the best performing and most efficient wind power systems. Kestrel's strict adherence to quality standards and continuous development of Kestrel technology has resulted in a line of high quality, quiet, powerful, and robust machines in 600, 800, 1000 and 3000 Watts rated power that are both reliable and cost effective. All Kestrel turbines feature Full Axial Flux Discoid Technology, for high efficiency and increased energy production in lower wind areas.
All models use patented pitch control, allowing blades to maintain rated output in excess wind speeds and optimizing overall power production.
Energy may be harvested at any different wind speed exceeding cut-in speed and rated output is maintained through rotor turbulence and pitch control in high winds. Energy output is intrinsically linked to your site's wind distribution, topology and altitude as well as tower height and the height of trees or structures in the area.
e160i 600W Kestrel
4.3 mph cut in wind speed, 29 mph rated wind speed

-
Quiet Operation**
*Air 30 and Air 40
**Air 40 and Air Breeze blades are specifically designed for low sound emissions
Primus Air 30
small turbine that is fitted out like the mega-watt class turbines
Compact and virtually silent, the e160i uses 5 fiberglass blades with a 5.24-foot rotor diameter, making it the smallest model on our floor. Used around the world and in Alaska to power railway switches, public lighting, communication towers, and for education. Appropriate for battery charging, grid tie or hybrid systems, the output voltage can range from 12 to 200 Vdc. Tower top mass is 66 lbs. Monopole used with a charge or voltage limiter.
e300i 1000W Kestrel
5.6 mph cut in wind speed, 24.6 mph rated wind speed
The e300i is the next generation of 1000w small wind turbines, used around the world to power water pumps, telecom sites, resistance heating, battery charging and grid tie or hybrid systems. The e300i uses 3 fiberglass blades with a 9.84 ft rotor diameter. Appropriate for water pumping, heat production, battery charging, grid tie or hybrid systems, the output voltage can range from 12,24,36,48,110 and 200 Vdc. Tower top mass is 165 lbs. Monopole used with a charge or voltage limiter.
e230i 800W Kestrel
5.6 mph cut in wind speed, 28 mph rated wind speed
The e230i uses 3 fiberglass blades with a rotor diameter of 7.54 feet. The e230i is often used in rural installations where there is no grid tie available. Also appropriate for battery charging, grid tie or hybrid systems, the output voltage can range from 12, 24, 36, 48, 110 and 200 Vdc. Monopole tower top mass is 99 lbs. and can use either a charge or voltage limiter.
E400i 3000W Kestrel
6.3 mph cut in wind speed, 24.6 mph rated wind speed 3300W, max power rating at 12ms ̄ˡ
The e400i is our largest in-stock turbine and optimizes your renewable energy output and performance through efficiency and size. The e400i uses 3 aerofoil blades with a 13.12-foot rotor diameter. The e400i moderates noise emissions effectively, making it unobtrusive for its size and a reliable method of substantial renewable energy production. The e400i advanced direct drive alternator incorporates three main shaft bearings for longevity and increased reliability. Appropriate for water pumping, repeater stations, heat production, small wind farm installations, battery charging, grid tie or hybrid systems, the output voltage can range from 48, 200 and 300 Vdc. Used around the world to generate dedicated power for housing, community and health centers not connected to the national grid. Tower top mass is 331 lbs. Used with a tripod tower and a charge-only controller.
POWER TIP!
Why Off Grid Systems Should Include Both Solar AND Wind
-
Wind speeds are highest during the winter months when solar resources are at their minimum
-
Air density is highest in winter maximizing wind power production
-
Wind provides power during inclement weather when sunshine is not present
-
Wind provides power at night
The Air 30 builds upon what has made AIR the world's #1 selling small wind turbine. The new technology used in the Air 30 was only previously found in mega-watt-class wind turbines.
The AIR 30 uses a new microprocessor based technology that results in an increase in performance, battery charging capability, and reliability. Additionally, "flutter" noise from the machine has been reduced.
The controller allows for peak-power tracking of the wind by optimizing the alternator's output on all points of the cubic curve and efficiently delivers the energy to the battery. The turbine's smart controller allows it to actually control blade rotation speed thus eliminating the buzzing noise commonly found with most small wind turbines.
Primus Air 40
All NEW!!!
Super Efficient and Quiet
The all-new Air 40. Quieter, more efficient, and precision engineered to deliver more energy at lower wind speeds than any other wind generator in its class. Air Breeze is the next generation of Air turbines with more than 100,000 units sold in 120 countries, the world's most popular small wind turbine.

Heavy duty mil-spec wind turbine
Perfect for harsh environments
APRS World's WT10 micro wind turbine is the premiere wind generator for extreme wind environments. The company has spent years developing and testing the WT10 in downright brutal locations and applications. Regular 150+ MPH winds, ice, and lightning. Every component of the WT10 has been repeatedly revised to make it as tough as possible and work in the most demanding enviroments. Simply put, there isn't a tougher micro wind turbine on the market.
APRS World can supply you with a complete integrated and tested micro wind turbine or hybrid wind / solar power and control system. They manufacture turbine control panels, output cables, dump loads, tower components, specialized installation tools, and even highly innovative mounting structures for ISO shipping containers.
Made in USA — with pride
The WT10 is assembled in the USA with as many USA made components as possible. The only major non-USA components are the European designed and molded blades and the Asian made bearings. While other companies continue to move manufacturing overseas, APRS World has invested heavily to bring the generator manufacturing to the USA.
WT10 Design
The WT10 is designed to be strong and power through anything mother nature can throw at it. Nearly every component on the WT10 is designed by APRS World and custom manufactured for us. Off the shelf components neither fit nor provided the reliability we require. Most components are machined from solid metal or engineered plastic. All components are sealed, plated, or otherwise designed to provide the most reliable service.
